Reform Allocation Fund Inc., a non-member nonprofit corporation (the Fund), is seeking five dedicated, disinterested, and independent board members to guide our mission of advancing holistic education reform. This volunteer opportunity offers no financial compensation, aligning with IRS expectations and ensuring robust, independent guidance.

Qualifications

  • Expertise

    • Demonstrated skills and experience in renewable energy, educational, financial, legal, permaculture, real estate, technological, or nonprofit leading roles. While a cross or multi-disciplinary background is ideal, it is not required.

  • Passion for Education Reform

    • You feel called to improve our education system.

  • Independence

    • No close relationship with our Founder, Ty Ballou.

  • Disinterested

    • No direct or indirect financial dealings with the Fund or Designingsummit Inc., a public benefit corporation (the PBC).

Time Commitment

  • First year

    • Estimated 8-13 hours per month, as we establish foundational structures and initiate a key project.

  • Subsequent years

    • Estimated 3-8 hours per month, focusing on ongoing guidance and reform goals.

Your Responsibilities

    • Provide direction and ensure satisfaction with required legal, ethical, and quality exceptions.

  • Development

    • Assist with establishing guidelines that assure transparency and accountability.

  • Mission Advancement

    • Advocate for and contribute to goals that align with our commitment to education reform.
